Tips for Customizing your Company’s Awards

It’s often easier to engrave the recipient’s name on the award and be done. However, it is easy to make an award “custom” by exercising just a little bit of creativity. Here are some tips and ideas for making your company’s awards stand out and have a bigger impact on both the recipient and others in the company.

Customize Awards with Unconventional Shapes

Most companies take the conservative route and present the traditional rectangular shaped awards and plaques. While this can have a big impact on the recipient, why not use a unique shape when customizing your company’s awards? There are numerous geometrical shapes, sculptures, and scrolls. Think about a customizing a crystal globe tower award or engraving a silver tray. The options are endless.

When you choose the award shape, consider the purpose of the award and why it is being presented. Think about your brand and what you hope to communicate. Customizing your company’s awards is often inspired by several things including:

• The reason or occasion for the award
• Title of the award ceremony
• Personality of the recipient
• Environment of the presentation
• Formal or informal award ceremony

Adding Personal Details to Customized Awards

You can also make the award unique by adding personal details to it. Add the company logo and then some information that will make it memorable for the recipient. It can have more meaning to spectators also. Incorporate the reason for the award and what the recipient has accomplished, or the reason for the company award. These details and your company logo engraved on the award will help them remember why they received the award in the first place.

Adding a Photo

Along with the company logo when customizing your company’s awards, you can feature a photo. If you are going with a picture plaque, you can customize it with colors that match your company logo. Express your company’s gratitude by including a picture of the individual or team who made the accomplishments.
